I am currently employed at company A which is an affiliate of company B. I have around 18 months on my H1B. My H1B is with company B. Now the two companies are parting ways and my H1B is being moved over from company B to company A. No big deal; all of this is going ok as far as I know and the company's lawyer is taking care of the case. At the same time this is going on I have an offer from company C and am seriously considering accepting the offer. My worry is that while my current employer is moving me around “in house” it might be risky for me to transfer to C. I have to make a decision very soon as they want me to start as early as May. Would filing for transfer be risky for me given the situation or can I have both of these cases pending at the same time? Please give me your opinion so that I can make my decision. Thanks
