| Here is my scenario
I’m in my 2nd year of my H1B visa that expires in September 2010 – I have about 18 months left.
I am in the process of transferring employers and not sure if I am simultaneously allowed to extend my visa for another 3 years.
Do I have to be in the last 6 months to be eligible for extension?
Finally
On the I-129, which box should I check in question 5 in part 2 when petitioning for a transfer?
c. extend the stay of the person(s) since they now hold this status
or
d. amend the stay of the person(s) since they now hold this status
Can a petition for a transfer be accepted but extension rejected in the same filing?
