Part time H1b

I am working in U.S. on H1 visa for the last eighteen months. I am working as a full time employee. Due to bad economy my employer can not find enough project for me. So we decided to change my job as a part time job for the time being. I would like to know if there is any prescribed minimum hours required for a part time H1b. Kindly advice me about the formalities for the amendment of status. Thank you.
