| According to a USCIS update, as of June 26, 2009, they have received about 44,800 H-1B petitions against the general quota of 65,000 and about 20,000 against the U.S. advanced degree quota, and will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until the quota limits are reached. It is difficult to predict how long it would take to reach that stage. |
